Project Overview
The Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium together form one of the largest connected convention and sports complexes in the United States. MVGeneral provided construction management and owner’s representation services for a comprehensive AV and security system upgrade spanning both facilities.
The Challenge
Upgrading technology systems in active major venues requires navigating multiple layers of complexity: existing building infrastructure, cybersecurity requirements, event schedules, and coordination with numerous stakeholder groups including venue operations, event producers, and public safety officials. The interconnected nature of the two facilities added additional integration requirements.
Our Approach
MVGeneral’s construction management focused on seamless integration:
- Coordinated specialized AV and security subcontractors across both facilities
- Managed integration testing between new and existing building systems
- Scheduled installation work around event calendars for both venues
- Facilitated coordination between venue operations, IT security, and public safety stakeholders
- Maintained detailed progress reporting for the Capital Improvement Board
Results
The completed upgrades provide both venues with modern, integrated AV and security capabilities. The new systems enhance public safety, improve event production capabilities, and position both facilities to meet evolving security standards for major public venues.
